UPM ANNUAL REPORT AND FINANCIAL STATEMENT WRITING WORKSHOP 2021

 

SERDANG, 31 March 2022. The UPM 2021 Annual Report and Financial Statement Purification Workshop was successfully held at Double Tree by Hilton, Intermark Kuala Lumpur for a day from 9 am to 10 pm. This intensive workshop was attended by an editorial board from information leaders, editors, designers and the secretariat of the UPM 2021 Annual Report and Financial Statements Committee.

Each year, Universiti Putra Malaysia will produce an annual report for the purpose of understanding a Federal Statutory Body (BBP), its objectives, functions and operations including programs, activities and projects carried out during the year.

The work process for the preparation is subject to Section 5 of Act 240 which provides that the financial statements of all BBPs be audited by the Auditor General (KAN). Malaysian Treasury Circular PA 3.2 is referred to and clearly states the process of preparing the report and the content that must be in the report in accordance with the appropriate standards and quality to ensure that each objective can be achieved effectively.

The UPM 2021 Annual Report and Financial Statement Purification Workshop is important for the UPM 2021 Annual Report and Financial Statements in line with the requirements of Section 8 of Act 240 which provides that the audited report will be tabled in Parliament.

The objective of this workshop is to examine the information written by the editorial board with the editors; ensure that appropriate and relevant diagrams, charts and graphics are used to add value to information and improve the quality of reports; look at the appropriateness of comparative figures and percentage changes that can be provided in the form of infographics to give an idea of ​​the trend of change from year to year; ensure that the content arrangements comply with the Malaysian Treasury circular and the BBP LTPK Preparation Work Process; produce discourse writing and executive summaries; and refining the writing and layout of the UPM Annual Report and Financial Statements 2021.

YH. Dato’ Prof. Dr. Mohd. Roslan Bin Sulaiman, Vice Chancellor of UPM attended the final presentation session and shared his intentions and the direction he hoped for in the production of the Annual Report and Financial Statements this year.
